HOMELESS MINISTRY: A new Homeless Ministry is underway, if you would like to volunteer your time, The Worship Center, just south of our church located next to the fire station in Bryans Road, sponsors a food pantry where those that are less fortunate can shop for commonly used food items such as milk, bread, meats, paper products, fruits and vegetables. Volunteer hours are the last Tuesday of every month from 2 pm-6 pm. A signup sheet is on the table in the narthex. For more information, please reach out to the VJ or Sarah Ammons.
MEN”S PRAYER BREAKFAST: SATURDAY, August 1st at 8:00 am in the Fellowship Hall. All men are invited to join us in a morning of worship, fellowship and a delicious breakfast.
E72: SATURDAY, August 1st at 10:00am. Everyone is invited to join us as we go into the local area and pray for our neighbors.
BACKPACKS FOR KIDS WITHOUT: We are partnering with NETS to provide “Back to School Backpacks” for kids who are in need. A signup sheet is on the table in the narthex. We will need a total of 10 backpacks (5 girls and 5 boys, grades 1 through 5) filled with school supplies. The list of required school supplies is also on the table. Please do not deviate from it – this is per teacher’s request. All backpacks must be back to LCOOS by Sunday August 16th. Please place them in Pam’s office. Any questions, please speak to Pam Mays. NOTE: We have 3 children left that will need backpacks and school supplies.
FOOD FOR THE ANIMALS: On Sundays after the 11:00 am Worship Service, Karen Malkin is collecting unwanted food items (and scrapes) to support the farm animals of Kaizen Parks Care Farm. Please put the food in the black bin with a yellow top by the old recycle center on the right side as you turn into the church parking area. Any questions, please speak with Karen. Thank You.
LWML CHESAPEAKE DISTRICT CONVENTION: VIRGINIA BEACH, VA – September 25th—27th 2026. This year’s theme is “The Wonder of God’s Love” (Ephesians 3:17-19).
